After laying stone tile (like pebbles) do I need to seal it twice before caulking it?

By Pebble Tile

Or can I caulk the floor before sealing it? Someone at a home improvement store told me the caulk would stain the stone if I didn’t seal twice first. Is it possible to seal the caulk only and not the stone pebbles? Or will that cause problems?
I’m not sure what type of stone, but you can see it red flat tile at www.stratastones.com. It is flat pieces of stone from somewhere in India I believe that is formed into interlocking tile pieces, sort of like a mosaic.

Better to seal it before appling the caulk

The like term “like pebbles” is throwing me off. I’ll put it this way, honed natural stone, like travertine or marble, usually needs to be sealed before grouting and caulking, because the grout and caulk can discolor the stone. And then sealed again to seal the grout. If you can explain the “like pebbles” comment it would help. Maybe I just misunderstand. What type of stone?

Edit: Looked at the site. It looks like a natural stone. Take a sample back to the place where you bought the tile and ask to make sure, but I’d say yes, seal it before you grout and caulk.

Seal it before and make sure the grout is sealed too. ( cleaning )
